It has been a while. A while since I felt like writing anything. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure I feel like writing this but I’m desperate to get back to writing. What’s been happening in the Marches?
Personally, I’ve been going through some stuff, I’ve been doing my usual of messing with my own head. Telling myself that I’m not good enough or that I need to be better. It’s been a bit hairy to be honest. The talking therapy is helping and as much as I dread them, I look forward to them. To use a really poor analogy, if I were a rug I’d be unravelled at both ends… Maybe it’s time to pick up the threads and weave a new pattern.
With the end of the lockdowns, appointments for the children have picked back up again. This week alone I have two appointments with the integrated disabilities team and an orthopaedic appointment. We’re then back down in Cardiff for the 22q clinic next month.
This week also sees my baby turning four. My last child will be four and by turning four, she’ll be heading to full time school in September and my life will look very different again. It’s almost like the end of an era. I’ve had a child at home every day for almost 16 years.
Our new life in mid-Wales is really shaping up to be a good one. And despite it all, I’m excited to see what the year brings.
